sorry to post up such an emo song. I felt that the lyrics are really true, people are living their lives and forgetting about their purpose, especially some of us Christians(sometimes haha). Many of us are repeatly doing the same thing everyday and sometimes we are working blindly just to end each day.

Every much like the lyrics, do you see the sian mood? - its really like 'no tomorrow', just by looking at what i am doing at 'work', i find it very funny and super sad. You would say 'hey be more positive! God has His plans.. bla bla bla' yes true and i know that God is always looking at us from heaven. We should do our best at work, bringing the best out of ourselves just like what we would do for God. But we are not the perfect being you know, we will run out of grace and when that happens you will see meteor strike down on you or even forest trees trying to strangle you. It's really Mad World.

I might be whining about many things around me, let out my frustrations in the wrong manner, but you see i am not perfect, either am i all so mighty and powerful like those superheros. i don't have extraordinary powers to get instant cash, magic to make everyone likes me or tricks to escape dangers.

At 'work', I cannot endure long hours of doing the same thing over again, it really threatens my artistic sense and kills my creative brain cells. I cannot take it when people keep tauting me, because it hurts me as a human being and i cannot please everyone just to entertain them and make them happy at all times. All these weaknesses and many more, which are really beyond my ability, i believe God in many ways have brought me through.

Going round in circles, familiar faces, dealing with difficult people and pleasing those who are mentally unsound. Mad World, I seriously am feeling dead to all these.

Before everything happened, i was so much happier. Those were the days when life was not so bounded by 'work'(in another sense), life was not restricted to rules. I was mislead by these things in life that i almost forgot, i should be living life on purpose for God.

As i end this post, I Thank Him for his wisdom and grace and his power to calm my soul and as i was writing this reflection, i also realized how he brought me to the understanding of my situation, in your most holy name i pray, amen.

There is no such thing as Cold. Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat. We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy. Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

Student : What about Darkness, Professor ? Is there such a thing as Darkness ?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness ?

Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the Absence of Something. You can have Low Light, Normal Light , Bright Light, Flashing Light . . . But if you have No Light Constantly, you have Nothing and it's called Darkness, isn't it ? In reality, Darkness isn't. If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you ?

Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is Flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how ?

Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD.
You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.

Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought. It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing. Death is Not the Opposite of Life : just the Absence of it.

Now tell me, Professor, do you Teach your Students that they Evolved from a Monkey ?

Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir ?

Global Day of Prayer

This is not National Day, it is Global Day of Prayer, yup this year was held at the indoor stadium last sunday 11/05. What's so special about this day is that it is a nation-wide gathering of Christians for united prayer and repentence. On this day we joined with over 200 million Christians around the world in repentence and intercede for the healing of our respective nations and on this day, we gathered to exalt Him as Lord over all.

Last year it was held at kallang national stadium, the atmosphere was better compared to the indoor stadium setting last weekend. Personally i felt it wasn't as good la.. only hear the pastors pray and pray and had little interaction, not like last year we were given time to pray among ourselves before a united prayer of all Christians in the stadium.

However last week's fellowship programme was super well-planned. The songs were good, those whom were in-charge did a great job in getting the whole atmosphere up, the testimony and songs were well organized and really brought out the emotions from us all(right? i sure felt that). Like the theme song of the day very much, but cannot find a copy for this song from the net, hopefully could get Angela to help me perform this song with her beautiful vocal so i can use it for my blog! heee

yup and i think really great that it helped me to renew my faith and confidence in Him. Great job brothers and sisters!

hello, have been a long time since i wrote somehting, well here are my updates.

Since the start on this year, i have spent quite alot on new gadgets and accessories, really alot! Firstly i bought my very 1st psp-slim and then followed by E61i my very first 'PDA' style smartphone with 2.0mp camera.

It's really a cool phone to use, the applications are excellent, the wifi capability comes in handy for myself who likes to surf net while outside, the screen is wide enough and very comfortable for viewing, really like it.

Recently i got myself a NEW psp-slim because my 'not-so-old' one bricked! motherboard need to be changed and please don't ask me why i never do so and instead got a new one.

ok next..

I bought samsung f200 a few days ago, this phone really attracted my attention; no camera, super small and stylish, supports microSD up to 4GB - Perfect for using it at work!

f200 really goes well with my Headporter hp strap, like the blue so much hah! unfortunately i have already forgotten my dream Headporter bag that i wanted so much, so many things but no bag carry =(

now even when i am not at work i can have the choice to carry either the manly e61i or the tiny f200.

few other things like the external hard-drive i got from the recent IT show, 500GB! and you know i have been downloading alot of good shows to watch, so much space to store up!

Thanks xiwen for the cute sneaker keychain too, though i got myself another one and a 3x3 rubiks keychain. Speaking of sneaker, i also got myself a nike SB shoe.

my gawd right, i spent so much within half of the year, paying for lifestyle. That is super sinful, must cut down on all these from now on.

As Christians, it is very important that we pray to God. When we pray, we break through the barrier between God and our soul. We communicate with Him through prayers and we pray in all aspects of our lives.

It is something more than just spending time with God's company. We ask him questions, talk to him about our family and friends, wondering what lies ahead of us, listening to what He has to say or just saying sorry, saying thank-you. It is like what you would do with your best friend and it is definitely something very simple to do.

However, my dear brothers and sisters, how much time do you spend with God each day?

I have to admit that sometimes i do forgot to pray before i sleep. At times i simply gave the excuse of being tired and sleepy that i neglected about something that is this important.

This is also the reason why i try to blog about things that happened in my life, not just for you or anyone that passed by my blog to read, it is a way in which i communicate with God; I wanted to let him know about how i feel, the things i have experienced and even new songs that i have learned. All these i blogged on, i thought of Him when i do it and also i did it to share with my beloved friends.

Thank you Lord for such a great opportunity and in your name i pray, that i may continue to experience the greatness and your blessings through good times and tough times, may all these be shared to the people reading my blog. To those out there who are afraid and not yet believe in you, lord let me take this chance to tell them about You, please grace me with more courage as i continue with this journey.

this year's christmas theme party is "we r toys, toys r us". This year not many people turned up and for those who came, not many dressed up. - a little disappointing actually. the atmosphere wasn't as exciting and fun compared to the previous year.

ya you know.. i didn't put much effort to dress up too, maybe because this year's theme was too creative and broad. Plus i have to serve the nation, didn't have the time to prepare for the party.

About the buffet; went to the cafe to order our catering with laiyi the other day. Was expecting some standard for the food la, however it turns out bad! It was from this cafe that we have dine in before and their meals were good seriously..who would have expected the food that day to be that bad and abit cheater on regard to the portion as well. Thank God we have william to cook extra dishes =P

however this year alot more new friends were invited, hope they have enjoyed themselves during the games heee.

with this, the party marks the end of 2007 Christmas festive for us!

we had a small gathering at agl's house, just a few of us; kenny, laiyi, dion, joeyee and me. agl's mom treated us pizza for dinner, tiramisu dessert(made by lydia), royce chocolate and island creamery's veryberry icecream - Waohh!

really had fun that night, simple and sweet. thanks again agl!

after dinner, we started dressing up, see! so merrrry christmas =p

It was a wonderful time meeting up with the cudulu gang. Have been 5months since we last met, but really thank God for that precious day. We still have much to chat about (haha), really feel so back to poly days. Thank you for making this gathering successful and hope to see you guys soon!

on the same day(22nd), very happy to have invited Joanne to our church for the Christmas musical rally! This years' performance was superb, they really did put so much heart and soul in the acting and the songs were very well sang. SO TOUCHING! hope Joanne had enjoy herself that night, God bless.

i have been working on this tee for quite some time, finally got it vectored out. would need abit more time to touch up on the curves, tickness and to figure out where to put in a bible verse. The shirt is to be printed for this year's caroling. Shirt color not decided yet, however it would be one color printing(probably black). I am gonna be zombie soon, where is my life. i rather do 8-5 than alternate days sia. somemore this fri supposed to be my off day, they want us to stay back until 5pm, OMG ... whole day gone.

Speaking of 'omg', opened the gate for this lady earlier in the morning, was alittle slow coz don't know how to pull the damn metal door and she reacted like i am her maid; She 'OMG' very loudly, her attitude surprised me, how mean can she be. Its not like i want to be her 'maid' open gate for her loh. Stupid woman, she should just go bang the wall. Don't let me see you again, or i will make sure u kena checked from head to toe everytime u come in. =(

read this passage emailed from a friend, found it really meaningful and interesting. For fellow designers/illustrators/artists and ESPECIALLY 'spec'(speculative) gigs.

Every day, there are more and more (Craigslist) posts seeking ‘artists’ for everything from auto graphics to comic books to corporate logo designs. More people are finding themselves in need of some form of illustrative service. But what they’re NOT doing, unfortunately, is realizing how rare someone with these particular talents can be.
To those who are ‘seeking artists’, let me ask you - how many people do you know, personally, with the talent and skill to perform the services you need? A dozen? Five? One? …none?

More than likely, you don’t know any. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be posting on Craigslist to find them. And this is not really a surprise.
In the US, there are almost twice as many neurosurgeons as there are professional illustrators. There are eleven times as many certified mechanics. There are SEVENTY times as many people in the IT field.

So, given that they are less rare, and therefore less in demand, would it make sense to ask your mechanic to work on your car for free? Would you look him in the eye, with a straight face, and tell him that his compensation would be the ability to have his work shown to others as you drive down the street? Would you offer a neurosurgeon the ‘opportunity’ to add your name to his resume as payment for removing that pesky tumor? (Maybe you could offer him ‘a few bucks’ for ‘materials’. What a deal!)

If you answered yes to ANY of the above, you’re obviously insane. If you answered no, then kudos to you for living in the real world. But then tell me…why would you think it is okay to live out the same, delusional, ridiculous fantasy when seeking someone whose abilities are even less in supply than these folks?

Graphic artists, illustrators, painters, etc., are skilled tradespeople. As such, to consider or deal with them as anything less than professionals fully deserving of your respect, is both insulting and a bad reflection on you as a sane, reasonable person. In short, it makes you look like a twit.

A few things you need to know:

1. It is not a ‘great opportunity’ for an artist to have his work seen on your car/’zine/website/bedroom wall, etc. It IS a ‘great opportunity’ for YOU to have their work there.

2. It is not clever to seek a ‘student’ or ‘beginner’ in an attempt to get work for free. It’s ignorant and insulting. They may be ‘students’, but that does not mean they don’t deserve to be paid for their hard work. You were a ‘student’ once, too. Would you have taken that job at McDonalds with no pay, because you were learning essential job skills for the real world? Yes, your proposition is JUST as stupid.

3. The chance to have their name on something that is going to be seen by other people, whether it’s one or one million, is NOT a valid enticement. Neither is the right to add that work to their ‘portfolio’. They get to do those things ANYWAY, after being paid as they should. It’s not compensation. It’s their right, and it’s a given. (And unless otherwise exclusively agreed and PAID FOR, they own the
copyright for their work anyway!)

4. Stop thinking that you’re giving them some great chance to work. Once they skip over your silly ad, as they should, the next ad is usually for someone who lives in the real world, and as such, will pay them. There are far more jobs needing these skills than there are people who possess these skills.

5. Students DO need ‘experience’. But they do NOT need to get it by giving their work away. In fact, this does not even offer them the experience they need. Anyone who will not/can not pay them is obviously the type of person or business they should be ashamed to have on their resume anyway. Do you think professional contractors list the ‘experience’ they got while nailing down a loose step at their grandmother’s house when they were seventeen?

If your company or gig was worth listing as desired experience, it would be able to pay for the services it received. The only experience they will get doing free work for you is a lesson learned in what kinds of scrubs they should not lower themselves to deal with.

6. (This one is FOR the artists out there, please pay attention.) Some will ask you to ‘submit work for consideration’. They may even be posing as some sort of ‘contest’. These are almost always scams. They will take the work submitted by many artists seeking to win the ‘contest’, or be ‘chosen’ for the gig, and find what they like most. They will then usually have someone who works for them, or someone who works incredibly cheap because they have no originality or talent of their own, reproduce that same work, or even just make slight modifications to it, and claim it as their own. You will NOT be paid, you will NOT win the contest. The only people who win, here, are the underhanded folks who run these ads. This is speculative, or ‘spec’ work.

It’s risky at best, and a complete scam at worst. I urge you to avoid it, completely. For more information on this subject, please visit No!Spec.com

So to artists/designers/illustrators looking for work, do everyone a favor, ESPECIALLY yourselves, and avoid people who do not intend to pay you. Whether they are ‘spec’ gigs, or just some guy who wants a free mural on his living room walls. They need you. You do NOT need them. And for those who are looking for someone to do work for free…please wake up and join the real world. The only thing you’re accomplishing is to insult those with the skills you need.

new work place is good, close to civilization, considerably near my house. Even though we have to pay for our own meals at the time being, the food is rather cheap. So far my superiors are good to us, colleagues are not too bad.

Ever since out of 'suffer in silence plus extra confinement', life has been very unpredictable and full of surprises. Now i ended up as 'lobo'(left out of battle order) for don't know how long before being scheduled for duties. Everyday besides sleeping, doing some PT or OJD (on job duties), slack at canteen, there isn't much. one day it could be sleep-OJD-sleep-home,another day it could be sleep-sleep-sleep-home. Some may say it is good life, but i don't really think so. It is a kind of torture not knowing your purpose.

That's why i am still trying to settle into such life.

really pray for good bunkmates! n hoping that my bmtc section mates would be allocated to the same bunk as me in sispec(which i dun think so lucky) But still.... yes.. must pray for that too. becoz friends are the only motivating factor for army life and i think really true la. That's why i think i am kinda blessed with good section mates during my bmtc days. so .. guys please please pray for me. Hopefully i when i book out this weekend i would be happy as a child, not an emo.

from my observation, those goign sispec really got both extreme cases; those chao keng MMI(me, myself & I) gang and the kind soul gang... bah... please! let the kind souls unite.

also pray for those going ocs, hopefully they will enjoy their 1st 3 weeks of confinement, Jason and kenny as well.. last week of their bmtc confinement.. will see them this weekend with their new 'hair-style'. Those posted to units, pray that they will get use to the new environment too.

pre-POP BMTC days reflection

BMTC training is coming to an end soon; it has been a wonderful experience under Bronco coy. In the beginning, I was afraid I would take much more time to adapt to the new environment. The living conditions were much better than expected; nice comfy beds, change of laundry every week and other facilities were neat too.

The physical trainings were sufficient, instructors and commanders were helpful as well. I am also glad that I have met with good platoon mates, especially those from my own section. Their encouragement gave me the extra strength to go through every training. Of course I do look forward to every week’s book-out, really a blessing to be able to spend the weekends with family and friends. When the time to book-in comes, there would always be a feeling of unwillingness, wanting to stay in the main land longer. However these feelings would subside once I see my platoon mates again, quite amazing that their appearance brought a smile to me again.

In camp, I tried my best in whatever I do and very often I enjoy the trainings and felt extremely happy whenever the trainings have been completed. Back in the bunk, there were moments of joy, fun and laughter. The days ended well, we got enough sleep and relaxation to refresh ourselves for the next day.

Although I have enjoyed the days in BMTC, I do wish for it to come to an end. The memories of these three months would always stay with me.

booked in on Sunday and now I am out again, all thanks to National Day that I am having a longer break this week.

Anyway i just completed my SIT test, you have to sit down in order to pass the test( just kiddin la...) It's actually a situation test to measure our ability to lead, wheather we are suited to be a leader.

finally i get to take a short break from all the trainning and orders.

through the short 2 weeks, i've gain alot more experience.

I went in w/o any physical preparations and i know i won't pass napfa. Trainning was tough at the beginning, but it serves well to prepare my body to work again. With addition to that, there is a super sadist commander, every sentence he speaks must have the f word, very irritating.

To be honest, i have fear and i always hope it rains so i can escape trainning.

However after every trainning, i realised it was alright, nothing more or anything less.

Just good enough for me =)

Graduation show

Grad show ended, overall quite satisfied. Although my booth abit plain, didn't really show off my packaging stuff, more of 3D things... guess is one reason why my shelf is kind of 'flat'.

For those who are busy didn't came to support, you can view the pictures here, will be uploading more.

There will be one more exhibition at sentosa for "The best of show", top 20 or 20% students will be selected for this show frm my course. I might or may not be selected, but it's alright since i am going army. If i got it then it's really a blessings that God gave me another chance, It would mean i have work to prepare for the show. wah..

very long never blog, been very very busy with my fyp.
Really hope to do a good job, but then in the end i did not.
I didn't have the spare time to refine my work, given my days
and nights just for the project is still not enough.. maybe i'm just slow.

Today 14th, I really felt the stress, lost, panic, worried and scared that
i won't be able to hand in my work on time, yes i know i still have lots to do.

As I was getting ready to set of to the print shop,
my mother came home frm the market, she was kind of worried for me, told me
to eat something or dirnk up the milo she made.

I told her i was really in a hurry, i dont want to fail this project and have to
retake another semester.

The moment i got out of house i called li'er, because I don't know what to do!
I was really SCARED. I am afraid of letting my mother down, and at the same time
I am very lost.

Why God didn't help me?

No,

He did...

My ability is limited, I can't be perfect in everything, given the time and my speed and skills,
I am very sure... it is totally impossible to complete everything on time.

But really Thank Him, his grace and mercy...he had given through my caring and beloved friends.

Special thanks to Jessie, Rebekkah and Thyechuan and the rest! Without your help I can't submit
my work on time. Thanks for cutting my mockups... =)

This marks the end of my teenage years and beginning of my adult hood journey.

Had my 3rd birthday cake of the year...really a big one from my mother. 1st time celebrate birthday with Glowing, 1st time 3 birthday cakes, 1st time the 1st birthday baby of the year in Glowing, 1st time the 1st birthday baby of the year 2007 in Glowing! YAY.

wahhh... today i went for consultation again, but was caught in the rain on my way to school.
So i became Luo tang ji.. and the aircon bus really cold.

Actually i have nothing much to consult my lecturers, but for the sake of attendance i have to be there.
Heard the lecturers were talking abt this student, that he will not be getting his A coz he didn't fullfill enough number of consultations. And he failed his APEL, so maybe no merit for him too. wah super serious.

I really wanna stay home, do my fyp, do it fast, do it good, really good i mean.

Not to mention, sat and sunday probably would not be doing much work, but I can't stand it when i have no progress at all during the weekdays! Esp the start of this week, okay i know it is not wrong to be helpful and it is GOOD to be helpful. I promised Joan to help model for her fyp photoshoot and also get some of my friends to help out, but i didn't expect to spend the whole night looking for models. When im finally done and wanna concentrate on my work, my cousin kept asking me to help him with some computer stuff, every few minutes he would come in and ask me this and that... and i was trying very hard to control my frustration.

I was supposed to wake up earlier on tue to get some materials at Fancypaper before heading for the photoshoot, but i was too lazy and woke up just on time. It was a rainny morning on tue, I wanted to take a cab to Islandcreamery, coz was worried that i would be late..u know.. but well i told myself not to waste the money, in the end the rest were late.. heng i did not take a cab.

The whole photoshoot session ended at around 3pm, then head to PS with my friends. Didn't expect to also catch a movie there... so in the end i reach home at ard 9pm, sleep until the next day 1pm -.-

Start work again... until now, 5am thurs but im still far from what i should have completed. Maybe im slow.. or i really wanna relax and give up.

Just a few hours ago, i was tryign to organise an outing nex week....for a drink at night. Within a min after i have sent out my smses, i got back alot of replies. Everyone would be busy....

then nvm la..i cancelled it...... would be good too, i can stay home and do my work next week. Anyway it makes no diff, every year i stay at home on that day, maybe get an angbao from mom, i always tell her don't bother buying cake for me... waste money coz only 3 ppl in the family.. I don't wan to eat cake for breakfast the whole week. I also don't want any present.. cos she probably don't know what i like...that is not too expensive. The previous year she also dun remember... so i guess don't have angbao also no big deal. I have no expectation even it's my 21st.. so wad? Im used to it oredi and i really think there's nth special abt this day...besides it's a day my mom suffers great pain.

But Im still happi that my mom said she gonna take leave on that day just for me.

AH! i checked my email today and found out that i have project consultation tml (fri). So scary!! the email was sent on wed late afternoon.. why didn't i check my mail yesterday!!!

I have not done a single work for 2 weeks leh.. I was celebrating the christmas, QBCcamp and newyear =x

Ernest went for his consultation today..heard that some of the students have yet started on theirs, actually kind of worried for them but at the same time i'm relieve that the lecturer did not scold them... so means will not scold me also hor???

Anway Ernest told me he saw my grades for the previous critique presentation.
I got B for both.. hmm ok la.. not that bad i guess. I can't expect much from the amount of work I have done.
I'm satisfied with the results, just don't get below B can liao. Definitely not F! wah F reminds me of that i***t lecturer loh, she har.. really evil to the core, u want to know why? Can ask me privately la.

Back to the topic, so i came up with some last min skectches and decent mock-ups to show the lecturers tml. Not really crappy ideas..coz i had them on mind like long before just that i have not sketch out.

ya lo... i cut out alot of boys&girls just now..(see below)

now u want to ask me what are they for right? or why my project lidat one..

Year 2006 has ended!
It has been a really really wonderful year!
There were so many 1st time given away last year, but i will not be counting them like what Tang mou mou did in her blog BECAUSE it is too Ahma style liao. whahahahaha..

so if u have taken away my 1st time..u should knw arh....

There was a period i left QBC for months yup.. those who have noticed and cared, here I would like to say Thank you for the concern and really really everything is okay right now. It was a great struggle, but thank God for everything.

Before i start my 2007 journey, wold like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

t's almost a month since the start of my Final year project. I am feeling very confused now. I hear this almost every consultations,
"Aie it is nice what"
"oo nice what" (touches the current design of the namecard of the client I am working on)
"I thought the original design is nice"
"The website is nice, what's wrong with it"
I'M TOTALLY SIAN OF hearing all these lah!!!
Please give me advice on how to approach this project to create a better solution for it's current design instead of telling me IT IS GOOD LIAO. The worst thing is the lecturers also say the current design is good, BUT don't give you any advice for your direction. SO WHAT IF IT IS GOOD to YOU, it does not mean that it cannot be better right!? OMG and u knw the worst worst thing is your friend commented it is not nice, then a few weeks later when i say the lecturer and soem other student thought it was good, then your friend also change view point, from bad to good! HOW AMUSING!!
I have done survey findings and larger number of respondants felt that it is not as established and that it could be better, SO i guess all these if i ask again there woudl be 100% say it is good oredi no need do anything to it!
HOW WONDERFUL?
I don't know, I'm just very worried about this now. I don't think i have time to waste, I'm so sorry to myself. If i don't come up with more fresh ideas, then I'm dead. I have been worrying about this the whole night because my work have been rejected today. The lecturer doesn't seem satisfied with my work and advice given were
"do more explorations"
"try to retain the original logo but change abit, maybe distort alittle here and there"

"do show me this stage by next week"

I'm seriously in a very low mood.. anyway need to sleep, tml need bring my relatives out, their last day in Singapore. I have been busy as a 'tour guide' for my relatives these few days.. so i am missing quite a bit of my time to do my fyp + some sleep. I tried my best to bring them around and give them my outmost welcome to my house as well as Singapore.

Anyway last Sunday, the 2nd day of their arrival, we went to TPY to shop. There are 3aunts+1 friend+1uncle+2cousins, which is 7 people... can imagine how big a grp i need to entertain la.. besides some walk slower, and they look at different stuff.

And yah... we saw this 'feng shui' booth.. a lady doing fortune telling. You see... my aunts and uncle believe in this kind of stuff..
besides it is only $5 per reading, and the lady says " i can tell your surname by looking at ur plam and face..if inaccurate no need pay money." So they decided to try it out.

So at first i thought.."HAR so...powerful ah?" then the lady passed over a few cards..with many surnames written on them.. like about 25 each card, to my uncle who wanted to have his reading done.

"please pick out the card.. with ur surname in it and pass it back to me"

the table also got boxes of surnames..

"now please pick out the box with ur surname on it and tell me"

((then the lady... took out measuring TAPE and measure the lines on his palm))

"your surname is blabla!" ((Bingo! correct... everyone was amazed!))

then the lady contined to give the normal readings .. when to buy 4D or TOTO and about your life.

U know..i think it is so LAME -.-"

the cards u choose oredi narrowed down to 25 Surnames out of maybe 100? and then u choose from the boxes on the table with your surnames in it... which means there are 25 boxes on the tables too... so the 25 names are divided equally..so no each box have 2 surnames frm the same CARD. OBviously...the lady memorised it all LAH!. anyway she doesn't sound local..more like from China.

I tried explaining this lame thing to my aunts and uncle...it took me so long to make them realise it is...done in this formula.

for those who still don't how this works.. u can view the example below..
numbers replaced as "surnames".

card to choose - 6 in each,
Card ONE: 1 2 3 4 5 6
Card TWO: 7 8 9 10 11 12
Card THREE: 13 14 15 16 17 18

boxes on table have,
BOX ONE: 1 7 13
BOX TWO: 2 8 14
BOX THREE: 3 9 15
BOX FOUR: 4 10 16
BOX FIVE: 5 11 17
BOX SIX: 6 12 18

okay now if u choose '4' from Card ONE and u pass it to the person, then u need tell her it is Box FOUR too since '4'appears in BOX FOUR... obviously... she can tell that the number u chose was '4' coz the other digits in the BOX is from other Cards.

Then during on eof my aunts' turn, we can't find the surname in inn any of the boxes on the table.. but we can find it fromthe cards... so we took very long to look for it, the lady very scared so she.. say " cannot find arh nvm la..u write for me.. i dun charge u money.."

"Nono.....u just write ur name out... anyway i is not important wheather i know ur surname anot rite? u just wan to know your fortune.. write ur name here." ((haha she so scared loh..coz many ppl watching))

haha me and my cousin feel like going back there to have our rading done and expose her!

sshhhhh doubt she will be there la..

Irritating MSN bots

Quite a few months ago, i received a request on msn that someone wanted to add me.
The MSN address was something like "huimin_blabla@blabla.com" with nickname in chinese.

I thought it was QBC's Huimin... so i accepted this person's request. a few seconds later, this person msg, and told me to visit his/her web profile. So i thoguth it was kinda weird since.. he/she address me as "devil_maycry".

and so I realised it was some.. spam bots maybe trying to lure me into some site with virus? Heng i never click the link siah... try to bluff little boy haha.

However.. this has gotten really irritating. More and more of these bots...requested to add me...so i added a few more.. which did the same thing.. msg me tell me to go to this link and such. The problem is.. nowadays ppl tend to create weird email address...like mine. So I have no choice but to add and see if its bots or a friend rite? bah.

A Survery done in the United States discovered that 68% of the people can snap their fingers, but only 13% can wiggle their ears and even smaller group of 10% can touch their nose with their tongue. However if any of the groups decided to outcast the rest, for example if you can't wiggle your ears you would be discriminated, wouldn't it be weird?

It is the same as discriminating people of a different race, sex, age etc.

Ever since young, i always hear this, "those malays ah? don't mix ard with them ah... they black black dirty dirty one." Does having darker complexion makes them dirty as well? (like kinda no link). So i grew up with this mentality that malays are "not good people", they are dirty and they have lesser moral values... coz their parents don't teach them and let them run about.

So whenever i notice any misbehavior from malays i would naturally discriminte them. However i hope that i would see them from a fresh pair of eyes and an open mind to accept them. It is also important not to tell the younger generation that "they are dark dark dirty dirty don't mix witht hem" haha.

Anyway today's topic was "Take a bow", bowing is a form of respect to greet the elderly. For me i think i would slightly node my head whenever i greet an elder, It comes naturally.. yah duno why haha.

Also i remembered reading someone's blog recently, a post about the behavior of some old ladies.

This group of old lady were blocking the pedestrian lane, causing inconvenicne to other people. They even ignored the ringing signal of those whom were riding the bicylce, and continued walking as if they were some 'tyrant'. haha

It was not the 1st time seeing such incident, obviously the person who blogged about it was kinda pissed off by such behaviour, "So what if they're older? Does it mean they can have it their way?"

Personally i think it's alright la.. since they won't be here for long... haha omg.. =x

I'm in my final sem of poly studies, the remaining days would be rather busy as foreseen. However i hope i could still fork out sometime for God and other suff. Last week I planned a rough guide for myself, was kinda shocked that we do not really have much time to complete our major project. The brief stated 4months, but in actual fact we only have about 3months or even 1-2 weeks less than that.

Are you a dog lover?

I have noticed a population growth in animal lovers nowadays, especially dogs. In the earlier days, human keep dogs to watch over their house, feeding them with leftover food or just to rear them for their own source of food!

Right now in this modern society, dog owners treat their pet as a friend, as a child or even as a lover. They spent money and time on their doggies, bring them for checkups and makeups. They bring them out to play, shop, eat, exercise, swim, suntan and what more?

Keeping a dog/pet has great responsibilites and big commitment! So please don't mistreat your pet dog or if you are a dog lover wannabe like Crushtoofast, i suggest you don't bring a dog home okay?

Sometimes i really envy these dog owners, how they can carry such a heavy responsibility. Not only that, they just simply love their dogs so much that the bond is unbelievable. How i wish i could do something like this, but maybe on a human instead hahaaaaa ...shhhh! okay out of point.

So my conclusion to "Are you a dog lover?", am I? well... what i have to say is... see the pic below.

My uncle is an artist, he paints very well,
his son is very good in art too, always win
awards in competitions. so i guess naturally
he got the art genes from his dad.

All these years i have been taking part
in art and even design competitions.
but i did not win a single thing.

Sometimes i just felt so envious of him.

My dad is an architecture designer,
he draws well too.
but maybe because my mother can't draw at all.
I was borned with lesser art genes in me.

Frankly speaking..
that was what i believed.
I wished that my mom had the talent in art too,
so i would be a genius!

but now..
I finally understood..
why God had pathed it to be this way.
because only sweat and hardwork
